Dest being ruled out for the remainder of the calendar year puts a lot of things up in the air. First being, his potential permanent transfer from Barcelona to the Dutch club, and second, his role with the USMNT.If the 24-year-old can still manage to secure a move to PSV this summer, it's a win-win for all parties involved. He's had an incredible campaign or them, and rewarding him with a permanent move would be the right thing to do.For the U.S. - it's now next man up. Whether that's Tim Weah, Joe Scally, George Bello or a potential change in formation this summer to accommodate his absence, change will happen in the XI.
